The idea of Wood and Wildey was born a long time before anything was actually done about it.

 It was something about the frustration of buying prints which never made it onto walls, finding art in storage in dusty lofts, uncovering much-loved photos and long forgotten sentimental souvenirs under the bed and discovering unused picture frames stacked behind doors....

Framing pictures brings enormous responsibility: preserving art that means something to someone, in the way that they  want it to be preserved . Start with the picture, finish with the frame.

It became about employing traditional craft -hand tools, being at home with the textures of materials. using and re-using them, bringing out the best in each picture.

​

  Ultimately it grew into a passion about creating meaningful products in a sustainable workplace.

We specialise in handmade frames of all sizes for your beloved family photographs, pet photos, art and posters. We work to standard sizing, box frames and bespoke orders.

 

We re-purpose old picture frame mouldings where we can and, if you love your old frame but the glass needs replacing, we'll do that for you too.
